The Go Red For Women campaign is challenging local women to walk one extra mile each week with a goal of adding 100,000 steps toward better heart health in 2019! We are kicking off the challenge during Move More Month which aims to inspires people everywhere to make lasting changes in their health and their lives, one small step at a time.
Staying active is a no-brainer when it comes to improving how you look and feel, yet only about 22% of American adults meet the federal physical activity recommendations for aerobic and strengthening activity. About one in three adults participates in NO leisure time physical activity at all. This month the American Heart Association is challenging everyone to get moving.
